(Beaverton, Oregon — March 1st, 2022) The Haptics Industry Forum (“HIF”), a global consortium representing the interests of the haptics industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Elisa Santella to its Board of Directors. Elisa is one of the founding members of GREWUS GmbH (2007). GREWUS develops and produces innovative acoustic components and haptic actuators for all industries and applications. Since 2017, she has been Managing Director and responsible for Automotive Haptic Key Accounts. Together with her team, Elisa supports customers in integrating active haptics. She understands the market requirements on both acommercial and technical basis. She has been working in the international automotive industry for over 18 years. Furthermore, she was recently elected Automotive WG chair for the Haptics Industry Forum and Industrial Chair of the EuroHaptics 2022.

Haptic technologies have seen dramatic increases in adoption and HIF was created to enable the main ecosystem participants to define common standards, recommended practices and guidelines to maximize interoperability and continued growth of the market. HIF’s common voice will permit decades of know-how to be pooled to facilitate adoption by other.
